Fadzai Chatiza-Traquino is a lawyer with a Masters in Women’s Law the University of Zimbabwe. She is Director at Women and Law in Southern Africa in Zimbabwe and is also coordinating the Women and Law in Southern African (WLSA) regional Programme.
Fadzai has 15 years of experience in development sector working with women and girls on land rights, extractives and Constitutional rights and access to justice interventions. She previously worked with Oxfam in Zimbabwe as Country Funding Coordinator and as Extractives Industry Adviser. She sits on a number of boards including Women University in Africa (WUA), African Women’s Development Network (FEMNET), Women and Land Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Peace Project. Her experience involves programming, fundraising and research for advocacy purposes.
Fadzai has a passion for amplifying the voice of women in women’s economic justice, climate change and natural resources governance and ending all forms of violence and harmful or discriminatory practices against women and girls.
